November 2019 Box and Project Plans

For this month, I will actually have 114 items because one of the projects that I plan to create has 96 pieces to it! The first 3 sets of projects center around hemming.

November 2019 Box. Doesn't look like much. But there's a lot more under the clothes!

Project #1

I previously cut this pair of burgundy wool shorts shorter and serged the edges so that it wouldn't fray. The only thing I have left to do, but never got around to it, is sewing the hem so that it would have a more finished look. However, I couldn't find a matching thread, so instead, I am going to use the iron-on adhesive tape.

I will be using this for Projects #1 and #3.
(I am only counting 2 of them)

Project #2

These shorts fit perfectly in the waist. However, the length is too long. Rather than cutting and hemming with the iron-on tape, I plan to fold the edges up and then sewing them in place with an invisible stitch.

Project #3

This skirt is also too long, but I will cut it shorter, serge the edges, and iron-on the adhesive to make sure the edges are tucked in rather than exposed.

Project #4

This is the project that has the 96 pieces to it. I had cut these denim squares about 2 years ago and just left them neatly packed up. I plan to sew this denim blanket for another friend's dog. I may add a fleece or minky material to the bottom in the next month's challenge.

(96 items)

Project #5

This is a blanket that I will be crocheting for a very close friend of mine for the holidays. I counted each skein of yarn as an item. From my estimation, I may need more skeins of yarn to finish the completed size.

(8 items)

Projects #6

This yarn is for crocheting a set of hat and scarf for a third friend of mine. I plan to create a big Pom Pom at the top of the hat.

(3 items)

Projects #7 and #8

The final 2 projects for this month's challenge will be reading both of these books simultaneously since one is fiction and the other is non-fiction. (I follow PeruseProject on Youtube and it's fascinating how fast she reads -- I decided to try reading one of her all time favorite series.)

(2 items)

This month's challenge has some easy and some long projects. But, I am staying optimistic. Well, I better get creating! I will update every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. Stay tuned!
