Merry Belated Christmas and Happy Holidays! This past week and half I've completed a few more projects:
1. The denim blanket got sewn together and was given to its recipients. Apparently, I only needed to use the large minky fabric scrap for the blanket. So, I will be finding ideas to use up the smaller minky fabric scraps.
| I was able to use some fabric scraps for this project. The only part that I need to do left is sew the bottom part together. |
2. The t-shirt got sewn together as well. (I will need to wash the shirt to get the washable markings off)
3. Using the t-shirt scraps, I was able to create some reusable makeup wipes and a little pouch to go with them. I also turned the unprinted areas into t-shirt yarn (which will be used in the January 2020 box.)
| This T-shirt yarn will be included in the January 2020 box. |
| I made some reusable facial wipes and a small bag for a friend. |
4. I started to alter one of the shirts to create a skirt. I actually added white cotton to the plaid shirt because it was too thin.
This week I couldn't resist buying 3 items from Forever21, 4 more plants, 1 set of wool dryer balls, 1 set of silicone baking sheets and 1 set of materials from Amazon to make one of my friends a lanyard/ID holder, 1 lotion from VS, and 2 pairs of jeans. This makes a total of 98 items purchased in December for January! That's way too much.
| I accidentally added the small Norfolk tree and holiday cactus, but the two below are what I ordered in the mail, but haven't received yet. |
The following are items that I was able to declutter, which makes 21 items, which means 105 items need to be decluttered for this recent haul. I had decluttered 85 items in the previous week, but still had 335 more items to declutter. So, in addition to this week's purchases, (335+105), I would need to get rid of 440 items....I will be doing a lot of decluttering these few upcoming days.
| Decluttered: some will go to a friend, some will be donated to school, some will be put on Mercari, and some will be thrown out. |
| I haven't used these baking items in years; time to get rid of them. |
