Update - Day 6 Part II
I realized that the challenge "Project Create & Use or Be Destashed!" is very ambitious. I was attempting to work on 8 big projects while working full time as a teacher. I ended up only finishing the sewing projects, which were really just fixing up the clothing items and sewing the denim squares together. I wasn't able to finish reading the two books, so I returned them to the library since I have three more library books still at home, which I decided I would add 2 to my December challenge. I got about halfway through the crocheted pink, white, and black blanket and will continue for December. I actually destashed about 8 articles of clothing in November, so I am going to excuse myself for not using up all the yarn for the blanket. I also did not get to the scarf and hat set, so I decided to sell 6 skeins of sock yarn on Mercari in place of the three skeins of yarn that I want to use for the scarf and hat set. If they don't sell, I will be donating them. I will give myself one month to have them on my Mercari account.
On the flip side, this month, I was able to save a lot more money. I did buy some items; however, I kept in mind how much I was able to buy based on the number of items that I was using up and/or donating. These items technically are for December purchases, but at the time, I couldn't put off my impulse behavior. Looking back now, I could've waited, especially since I did not use some of the items yet. (Something to think about for the month of December)
I think overall, I was productive in November and I was better at managing my money, using items that I had originally stored away as well as destashing more items.
| These are the 6 skeins of sock yarn that I decided to let go. I don't see myself knitting socks in the near future. So, it's time to let them go. |
